Job Overview
Peritum Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Wind Turbine Engineer to manage wind farm installations and operations, supporting our clean energy projects. You will lead a team of engineering professionals, overseeing maintenance, field operations, and commissioning to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal energy production. We are looking for a candidate with hands-on technical expertise in wind turbine operations, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to green energy. This role requires travel to various site locations, collaboration with grid operators, and execution of preventative maintenance routines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical and electrical assembly, commissioning, and operations of wind turbines. Coordinate with grid operators and prepare performance reports. Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during high-altitude operations. Monitor wind turbine performance metrics and generate efficiency improvement analysis reports. Liaise with grid operators to support secure power transmission integration and automation adjustments. Lead a team of engineering professionals, overseeing maintenance, field operations, and commissioning. Maintain detailed reports on turbine efficiency and resource requirements. Ensure all tools, equipment, and safety gear are up to standards.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering. Certifications in wind turbine safety and field engineering are a plus. GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certification is highly desirable. Relevant coursework in wind power generation, aerodynamics, and control systems.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 5+ years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, installation, or heavy industrial operations. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic control systems. Familiarity with wind turbine monitoring software and data analysis. Strong communication, team management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in challenging field environments and perform tasks at height.
